Letter from Sir Thomas Douglas Forsyth to Brian Houghton Hodgson in which he writes that he has been on the Continent and therefore had not answered Hodgson's letter. Forsyth thanks Hodgson for sending the Pamphlet and apologises if his remarks did not do sufficient justice to Hodgson's work. Handwritten, 2 pieces, 8 sides, dated 10th May 1877. Also accompanying envelope with Hodgson's annotations.
