Scope and content
Letter from Archibald Campbell to Brian Houghton Hodgson in which he thanks Hodgson and his wife but states that 'we' shall not be up to the Exhibition this week. He has to be in Hodgson's part of the town on Friday 25th but will write before that. He has asked the Secretary if the Deputation can be deferred until Alcock's return and has also asked the Society if they will print Hodgson's 'Paper on the Trade with Nipal and Thibet'. Campbell writes that Alcock as President of the Geographical Section, is anxious to illustrate the whole line of the Indian [ ] and has asked Campbell to do some part of it as a short Paper. Campbell has yet to agree but thinks it is a good idea fitting in well with the present movement at the Society of Arts. Handwritten, 1 piece, 4 sides, with accompanying envelope, annotated by Hodgson. Dated 14 April 1873.
