Letter from Albrecht Weber to Brian Houghton Hodgson in which he acknowledges Hodgson's letter and the summary of Hodgson's services (not published). He gives a positive opinion of the content of the pamphlet and sends congratulations to Hodgson for his high scholarly achievements and recognition. He writes of his grief for the untimely death of their friend Burnell, about the selling of the greater part of Dr. Rost's library and his appreciation of Burnouf's immortal work. Hodgson's title note with date of receipt on the front of the accompanying envelope. Handwritten, 4 sides, dated 10 December 1882.
