The Royal Asiatic Society has produced a Journal from the early years of its formation and continues to do so. This material covers the records made in the production, administration and distribution of the Journal.

Some of the material had previously been identified by Professor Simon Digby, Honorary Librarian to the Royal Asiatic Society (1970-1984). The information provided by him has been kept with the Henry Miers Elliot Papers.
Elliot Henry MiersNews cutting from the Athenaeum containing a list of volumes which Brian Houghton Hodgson had sent to the Vatican having been given them by the Grand Lama of Tibet. They had been confiscated from former Catholic missionaries. Printed material, 1 side, dated 5 January 1884.
