• Letter from RAS Secretary to Professor E. Ullendorff to invite him, on behalf of the Council, to be a member of the Selection Committee for the Prize Essay Competition. • Letter from Edward Ullendorff to Miss Crawford, RAS Secretary, to write that he would be glad to act as a member of the Selection Committee. Typed with printed letterhead, 1 side, dated 5 July 1971.
• Letter from RAS Secretary to Professor Ullendorff to inform him that a Committee of three had been nominated for the Competition, of himself, Dr Bivar and Professor Simmonds. Typed, 1 side, dated 19 October 1971.
• Letter from Edward Ullendorff to Miss Crawford, RAS Secretary, to ask if he could be excused from serving on the Committee due to a heavy workload. Typed with printed letterhead, 1 side, dated 25 October 1971.
• Letter from Diana Crawford, RAS Secretary to Professor Ullendorff to ask concerning a letter to the Ethiopian Ambassador and also whether he would clarify his position concerning the Prize Essay Selection Committee, Typed, 1 side, dated 5 November 1971.
