He encloses two signed copies of the contract which if Graham is satisfied with, then he should sign one and return it. One signed and witnessed copy of the Memorandum of Agreement is with the letter for 12 April 1990.

Letter from James Kraft, Witter Bynner Foundation, to Angus Graham to explain that after much deliberation it has been decided not to use Graham's essay as an introduction to Bynner's Laotzu as they felt Graham's essay was not in sympathy with the translation. They however send recompense for his work and travels.

With the letter is a copy of the pages written by Knechtges in Michael Loewe's Early Chinese Texts and a further draft traslation of the Huan liu chapter of the Ho-kuan-tzu, possibly by Graham.

She offers her help if needed. She also informs Graham of her pregnancy with twins and that she is currently living with her parents in Brussels.
