              Letter from K. Jahn to [C.A. Storey] in which he asks that the recipient inform the Clerk of the Trust of his new address and to send him a copy of his book for which he has already asked two times but is yet to receive an answer. He spent a day in Leiden and spoke with the clerk at Brill who informed him that small packages can be sent to Holland.

              Letter from K. Jahn to [C.A. Storey] to thank him for the copy of his book which he was pleased to see after six years. With the letter he sends copies of two personal papers. With this letter are letters of recommendation for Dr. Karel Jahn from Dr Jan Rypka and Professor Dr. K Svoboda, and from the mayor of the commune of Leersum.

              Letter from K. Jahn to [C.A. Storey] in which he writes concerning the delay in receiving the recipient's letter. He thanks for the information concerning his book and writes of further editing he has undertaken. He also writes "Momentary I have lost all, my home, my family and all my books. What will the future bring?".

              Letter from W.L. Raynes, Clerk to the Trust, to C.A. Storey to enclose a letter from Dr. K. Jahn to which he is sure the Trust will be sympathetic. He asks Storey as to how to direct Luzac in complying with Kahn's request. With this letter is a copy, in Storey's hand, of the letter from Jahn in which he writes that he has found a provisional home in Holland and asks for some copies of his books and maybe others of the Gibb Memorial Series having lost his house, family and books in the war.

              The Gibb Memorial Trust was established in 1902 in memory of Elias John Wilkinson Gibb, a largely self-taught Arabic, Persian, and, above all, of Ottoman Turkish, died age 45 in 1901 and his mother established the Trust. These papers mainly cover the period 1927-1951 and consists of governance, finance and publication documents, produced mainly as a result of Charles Ambrose Storey's involvement as a Trustee of the Trust.
