Handwritten in Persian with gold decoration and accompanying envelope. Also a letter from George MacGregor describing the Nawab's letter and the engravings sent for Hodgson. Handwritten, 2 sides, dated 22 May 1855. Further letter on behalf of the Nawab by his minister (Dewan) explaining about the bearers and carriage for Hodgson journey from Darjeeling and request to stay at the palace if he is feeling fatigued by the long and difficult journey. Handwritten, 3 sides, dated 28 October 1857.
