Letter from William Newnham to the Secretary to the Royal Asiatic Society, London, accompanying a gift of a wooden model of "the Tomb in the Tower of Silence lately erected on the Island of Bombay", and the accompanying drawing and explanation of the ceremonies attending its erection and the reception of the Dead. The gift will be brought to the Society by his brother, Thomas Newnham. Dated 18th April 1833, handwritten, signature in a different hand to the letter, 1 piece, 4 sides.
