Letter from W.R. Livingstone, Montego Bay, Jamaica, to send a contribution to the Fund. Livingstone mentions that he has seen where Burton lived at Trieste, and served as missionary in the Bombay Diocese which Burton had visited. "Imagination has taken me to Mecca, whither pluck and skill carried him 32 years ago." He signs his letter "Hadgi W.R. Livingstone". He also includes a printed satirical poem "Farewell to Sir Leslie Probyn" about an unpopular British Governor of Jamaica at the time.
