Letter from Richard Clarke, Secretary, to James Wilson, MP, Treasury, concerning the publication of the translations of the Cuneiform inscriptions by Sir Henry Rawlinson and the fact that the Treasury are anxious that the translations 'should be given to the world simultaneously with the originals'. The Society has prepared a memorandum as to how this should be done. They suggest that either the memorandum could be presented by a deputation or alternatively it could be sent as a letter. In the meantime Mr Wilson is sent a copy so he can make an informed decision and 'his instructions are awaited'. (Found on page 223)
