Letter from Reinhold Rost to Brian Houghton Hodgson to express his annoyance at arriving back in Canterbury from Ramsgate to find that he had missed Hodgson's nephew, Baron de Nahugs and Dr Kern. Rost has been engaged in a new edition of a book on the religious sects of the Hindus. He had had the pleasure of meeting Dr Kern in London 4 weeks previously. Handwritten, 2 sides, dated 1 September, 1861.
