Letter from Lancelot Wilkinson, Political Agent at Bhopal, to Brian Houghton Hodgson in which he thanks Hodgson for sending a copy of the Wajra Soochi (Vajra-sūcī). Two or three scholars have taken copies. He wonders whether Hodgson would aid him in getting it printed and circulated. Wilkinson has just received an interesting work from a "native mathematical instrument maker and astronomer" - a Sanskrit version of the Elements of Euclid. He writes that the Begum and her nephew the Nawah are still at loggerheads. They have called a truce and the Lord has offered to negotiate terms of peace.
