Letter from H. Higgens to W.E.D. Allen in which Higgens says he looks forward to studying the Muratoff drafts and collaborating with Allen on them. He reports that he has finished correcting the translation of Herzen's memoirs for Chatto and is now working on the index. He encloses a copy of Nabokov on Gogol and Ian Grey on Ivan III, which Allen had asked to borrow, as well as the Penguin 'Atlas of Medieval History', which he likes for its information on the Khazans and the Ghuzz. He promises to send a note about Sheila-na-gig, but expresses hesitation about meeting a Russian called Yevtushenko, since he fears his spoken Russian is no longer good enough. He hopes Allen and Roger Machell can dine with him at some point. Attached to the letter are notes on the meaning of the word 'incony', used in 'Love's Labour's Lost', 'gubbins', and 'Mangyt'. Dated: 29 March 1967.
