Letter from Captain Thomas John Newbold to Richard Clarke, Secretary of the Royal Asiatic Society, with which he sends a paper intended for the Royal Asiatic Society and asks Clarke to ensures it gets to the Society. The Paper is a preliminary sketch of the Geology of South India. He asks if Clarke could send a list of the Malay manuscripts that Newbold had given to the Society to Professor Dulaurier in Paris. He also asks regarding the binding of a Persian manuscript which he presented to the Society. Newbold has not yet received the copies of the Papers he authored.
