Correspondence concerned with the Legacy of W.H. Moreland on his death in 1938 in which the Society were bequeathed some of his possessions, the income from his publications and one quarter of his estate upon the death of other named members of his family. The correspondence concerning this dates from 1938-1940.
There is further correspondence from 1956-1958 after the death of his family members and also earlier correspondence concerning publication of his books, dated 1922-1923.

Correspondence concerning the bequest of Professor Walter Perceval Yetts involving the residue of his estate after the death of his widow and his two sisters. The majority of the correspondence dates from 1972-1974 with a supplementary letter of 25 February 1982.

The Society's collections have always been open for researchers to come and use. This in turn has generated additional information concerning the collections both formally through articles and research papers and informally through correspondence. The Society has also sought to promote its collections through both events and articles. The papers within this series concern these activities. Though much of the administration of these activities does not create items of archival value, the ones kept were deemed to be of use for future researchers.
Sans titreIn 1993 the Society sold its Farquhar Collection of Natural History Drawings of Malacca. The money raised by the sale was reinvested and used to help keep the Society solvent. These lists, dating from 2000, identify how some of the money had been used and proposed spending of it. Two copies of each of three lists.
