Correspondence concerned with the Legacy of W.H. Moreland on his death in 1938 in which the Society were bequeathed some of his possessions, the income from his publications and one quarter of his estate upon the death of other named members of his family. The correspondence concerning this dates from 1938-1940.
There is further correspondence from 1956-1958 after the death of his family members and also earlier correspondence concerning publication of his books, dated 1922-1923.

Correspondence concerning the bequest of Professor Walter Perceval Yetts involving the residue of his estate after the death of his widow and his two sisters. The majority of the correspondence dates from 1972-1974 with a supplementary letter of 25 February 1982.

Correspondence regarding the bequest of Ursula Blackwood to the Royal Asiatic Society, 4 pieces, dated 5 July 1977 - 14 July 1977.

Between 2006 and 2011, a Fundraising Group or Committee was in place to raise funds for the Society. The material in this series consists of:

• Minutes for Meeting of the Fundraising Group or Committee between 18 September 2006 and 9 June 2011.
• Fundraising brochures: a colour brochure entitled 'Royal Asiatic Society of Great Britain and Ireland' with accompanying leaflet 'How can you contribute to the Future of the Royal Asiatic Society', 2 copies of each.
• Printed card listing Members of Council 2008-2009, Members of the Fund Raising Committee and Members of Staff.

The Society's collections have always been open for researchers to come and use. This in turn has generated additional information concerning the collections both formally through articles and research papers and informally through correspondence. The Society has also sought to promote its collections through both events and articles. The papers within this series concern these activities. Though much of the administration of these activities does not create items of archival value, the ones kept were deemed to be of use for future researchers.

In 1993 the Society sold its Farquhar Collection of Natural History Drawings of Malacca. The money raised by the sale was reinvested and used to help keep the Society solvent. These lists, dating from 2000, identify how some of the money had been used and proposed spending of it. Two copies of each of three lists.

Correspondence concerned with the Society's dealings with H.M. Inspector of Taxes and the Inland Revenue.

Correspondence from the 1960s. This contains:

• Correspondence with Price Waterhouse & Co. concerning creating separate trust funds for staff pensions and dilapidation of the Society's property, 4 pieces, typed, dated 24 January 1964 - 25 May 1964.
• Correspondence with the Royal Society and British Academy regarding rate relief for the Royal Asiatic Society and obtaining a grant from the British Academy to compensate for the change in rates, 35 pieces, typed, dated 30 April 1964 - 29 January 1970.
• Correspondence with Price Waterhouse & Co. concerning enquiries made by the Chief Inspector of Claims concerning new investments made by the Society, 2 pieces, typed, dated 16 November 1967 - 17 November 1967.
