He also acknowledges receipt of the Society's Annual Report. There is an annotation, in Bivar's hand, to ask Diana Crawford, Secretary, Royal Asiatic Society, to file the letter and ensure the proofs are received in the next ten days. The note is dated 22 March 1972.

Correspondence with Han-Shan Tang Ltd. regarding the possibility of purchasing or becoming an agent for the sale of the Society's offprints. There are eight letters negotiating the terms of the agreement, the sale of current offprints, and subsequently the return of the offprints when Han-Shan Tang Ltd. failed to keep to the terms of the contract.

The file contains both agreements and correspondence between the two parties as well as internal communication within the Royal Asiatic Society and administrative documents concerning preparation for a launch party for the catalogue. The correspondents include Valery Gibson and Gordon Calver for the Royal Asiatic Society and J.I. Somers for Fine Books Oriental. During this period Fine Books Oriental came under the Luzac's umbrella but continued to act independently.
