Description of an archaeological site by Capt. Newbold, entitled "The Site of Bether, the Bittir of the Arabs" which he states is the site of the struggles of the Jews against the Romans in the reign of Adrian A.D. 135. Newbold records his journey to the site from Jerusalem and his discoveries. A note reads: "Recorded 16th June 1849". With the paper is a label stating "The Site of Bether".

The Illustrated London News for 23rd July 1938 containing the article by Quaritch Wales 'New light on Buddhist art: Bronzes from Malayan Tin-Mines' on p.173.

"The Archaeological Lecture" - a lighthearted article about attending an archaeological lecture. With hand-drawn illustrations of "Miss O'Lithia", "Natufian Herrings" and "Globular lug-handled-urn".

Small green notebook entitled: "Qumis 1976, Photographs, Warwick Ball" with further title within notebook suggesting this was a list of photographs for the National Geographic. The notebook contains handwritten lists.

Notes, drawings and photographs concerning Šahr-e Qumis. Also drafts of articles and proof plates, and an offprint of an article by Hansman and Stronach.

Three Plans on tracing paper from Shahr-i Qumis excavation, 1971, labelled:

• Site 5 Contour Plan, Scale (1:100)
• Site 12 Contour Plan, Scale (1:100), Sept '71 Qumis
• Site 7, Mud-ribbed Vaulting over Room

These are large drawings which were originally found in a tube addressed to David Stronach.

Report on tumuli or barrows in the Sardis region (Turkey) by George Hale. A description of the tumuli signed by Hale, after which there is a quote from Herodotus.

Typed lists of Plate Captions, Catalogue of Woven Material in Figure 7, and Figure Captions for an article by Hansman and Stronach. With these lists is an acknowledgment slip from Stephen Austin and Sons Limited, Printers, with the note "Omitted from Hansman package. Apologies", and a black and white excavation photograph which is marked up on its reverse for printing.

Two Notebooks with plastic covers entitled "Pasargadae Register I 1963" and "Pas. 1963 Register II". These notebooks contain handwritten notes, sketches, and some photographs on finds made in the archaeological excavation of the site at Pasargadae in 1963. This excavation was supervised by David Stronach. Each entry has its own classification number, a description and measurements, Within Register II are loose notes at both the front and rear of the notebook. These include:

• Three letters in French from Pasche, Swiss archaeologist, concerning the tomb of Cyrus, temple of Artemis at Ephesus and identification of items, handwritten, dated 18 May -29 June 1970.
• List of Registered Objects, Pasargadae '63, typed list.
• Notes, drawings and a photograph.
