The 16th International Congress of Orientalists was held in Athens in 1912. The material consists of the Fifth Bulletin for the Congress detailing the Organising Committee, Programme and participants. This pamphlet has uncut pages.

The correspondence created in this time period is:

• Correspondence between the Under-Secretary for Sates for India and the Secretary, Royal Asiatic Society, concerning the proposal for the establishment of an Oriental Research Institute at Delhi, Two letters, typed, 7 pieces, dated 25 July 1912 and undated.
• Correspondence between the Under-Secretary for Sates for India and the Secretary, Royal Asiatic Society, concerning a proposed survey of the languages of Burma (Myanmar). Three letters, typed, 7 pieces, dated 8 November 1916, 5 June 1917 and undated.
• Correspondence between Sir George Grierson, the Linguistic Survey of India, the American Oriental Society and George B. Danton, concerning tones in various Indo-Chinese languages and their representation in writing. Typed, 6 pieces, dated 9 October 1920 - 3 April 1921.

In 1974, the Asiatic Society celebrated the 190th anniversary of its foundation. This material covers correspondence and printed material connected to these celebrations. These are:

Letter from B. Mukerji, President, Asiatic Society, to The Secretary, Royal Asiatic Society, to inform the Society that the Asiatic Society will be celebrating its 190th anniversary and the 150th birth anniversary of Raja Rajendra Lal Mitra, with an exhibition highlighting the career and achievements of Raja Rajendra Lal Mitra. Further there will be lectures and a reception graced by the presence of the Governor of West Bengal. The presence and greetings of the Royal Asiatic Society are requested. Typed, dated 31 December 1973.

Letter from D. Crawford, Secretary, Royal Asiatic Society, to the President, Asiatic Society, to write on behalf of the President and Council of their delight to send greetings on this occasion. She inquires as to the date of the celebrations. Typed, dated 21 January 1974.

Letter from S.K. Mitra, General Secretary, Asiatic Society, to the Secretary, Royal Asiatic Society, to thank for the letter and to inform that the functions were held in 15 January 1974. However they would still value a message of greetings from the President to publish in their Year Book. Typed, dated 1 February 1974.

Letter from E.H.S. Simmonds, President, Royal Asiatic Society, to President, Asiatic Society, to thank for the invitation and to say they would send greetings. Typed, dated 7 February 1974.

Letter from B. Mukerji, President, Asiatic Society, to The President, Royal Asiatic Society, to inform that the ceremonies occurred on 15 January but that they would still values a message of greetings. Typed, dated 21 February 1974.

The 15th International Congress of Orientalists was held in Copenhagen in 1908. The material from this conference consists of two printed pamphlets: "Actes du Quinzième Congrès International des Orientalistes Session de Copenhague 1908" and "Appendice aux Actes du Quinzième Congrès International des Orientalistes Session de Copenhague 1908" detailing participants and programme for the Congress. These were published in Copenhagen in 1909.

• 1907 - Notice from C. Hughes, Secretary of the Royal Asiatic Society, to inform Members that a Special General Meeting will be held on 14 May 1907 to consider revision of the Rules. Printed material, dated 23 April 1907.
• 1908 - Notice from C. Hughes, Secretary of the Royal Asiatic Society to inform Members that a Special General Meeting will be held on 26 May 1908 to consider revision of the Rules. Printed material, dated 9 May 1908.
• 1922 - Notice from Ella Sykes, Secretary of Royal Asiatic Society, to inform Members that at a Special General Meeting on 17 January 1922 certain amendments to the Rules were agreed. These amendments are listed. Printed material, dated April 1922.
• 1929 - Notification of a Special General Meeting on 1 July 1929 regarding Rule 65 concerning the day on which General meetings were held. Sent from C. Frazer, Secretary, Royal Asiatic Society, printed card. On the observe is a handwritten list concerning Persian texts.
• 1934 - 'Proposed Alterations and Additions to the Rules of the Society for Consideration by a Special General Meeting'. Notification giving the proposed rules to be changed and the date of the meeting, 11 January 1934 and Agenda for the Special General Meeting on 8 March 1934. Printed material.
• 1936 - Notification of a Special General Meeting to be held on 12 November 1936 to decide whether it was desirable for the Asiatic Society of Japan in Tokyo to be accepted as an Associate Member. Printed material, 2 copies.
• 1965 - Notification of the changes to subscription rates to be discussed at a Special General Meeting, 14 October 1965, typed; Minutes of the Special General Meeting when the subscription changes were unanimously accept, typed; Notification for a Council or Finance meeting (Item 6 i on the Agenda) regarding the unanimous acceptance of new subscription rates, typed; 'Notice on Subscriptions' to inform members of the new rate. • June 1969 - Agenda for a Special General Meeting to be held on 24 June 1979, 3 copies, typed with annotations; Minutes of the Special General Meeting, 2 copies typed with annotations; letters of apology from C.H. Philips, Sir Ralph Turner and Susan Skilliter, 3 items, typed and handwritten.
• October 1969 - Agenda for a Special General Meeting to be held on 29 October 1979, typed; Minutes of the Special General Meeting, typed with annotations.
• 1970 - Notice of a Special General Meeting to be held on 8 January 1970 to consider the revised Bye-laws of the Society. Notification is given as to where the bye-laws were available for consultation. Sent by D. Crawford, Secretary, Royal Asiatic Society, November 1969. Printed material.
