There are seven examples of requests from individuals and institutions. On the converse, requests are made from Journal authors to other institutions for permission to use images within their article. There are three examples of these.

Fergusson and 'The Ajunta Caves' by George Birdwood from The Athenaeum (27th February 1875); and 'Asiatic' from the Academy (13th March 1894).
There are six letters, written to and by the Reverend Arthur Stanley Bishop between 1907 and 1908. Bishop was the superintendent of the Wesleyan Methodist Book Room at the Wesleyan Methodist Missionary Society, Colombo.
