Letter from W.L. Raynes, Clerk to the Trust, to C.A. Storey to enclose the firm's account in connection with the proof of death of Ellis in various Trust Accounts. This includes the purchase of the Redemption Stock for which he needs Storey's signature on the cheque. He also writes that some of the stocks are now solely in Professor Nicholson's name and suggests that Storey's and Professor Arberry's names are added as they are resident in this country. A copy of the account is with the letter.

Letter from W.L. Raynes, Clerk to the Trust, to C.A. Storey to inform him that a letter concerning an amended stock holding had not been received and must have been lost or destroyed by enemy action. Barings have agreed to issue a new certificate but require the Trustees' bankers to join in Dr. Nicholson's indemnity. He asks for Storey's signature. He further writes whether Storey could examine some so-called odd parcels at Heffer's warehouse to see what they contain.

He also informs Storey that he is looking for suitable stock in which to invest the Trust's surplus money. He asks if Storey has heard anything of Nicholson as Raynes had heard from his wife that he was going into hospital for a severe operation. A copy of the Luzac account is with the letter.
