A small pamphlet containing the article, "Irregular Earthworks in Eastern Siam: an air survey", published in 'Antiquity', Vol.24,Issue 93, March 1950, with a map of Eastern Siam and aerial photographs taken by the Royal Air Force and United Armies Air Force. The survey was carried out immediately after the World War II. The pamphlet is in poor condition.

Two notebooks labelled "Islamic". They are:
- Islamic Vol I: Ottoman and Seljukian - containing notes from sources such as Tableau [Senvial] de l'Empire Ottoman, Paris 1787, D'Ohsson, Schifer, Elliot. Pasted into the notebook is the article - Ottoman Administration - a review of "Droit Public et Administratif de l'Empire Ottoman" by A. Heidborn.
- Islamic Vol II - containing notes from sources such as Kremer, Goldziher, Amin Ali. Within the volume is a loose newspaper cutting from The Pioneer for 29 April 1910, with an article entitled "Turks and Arabs".
Though only "An Examination of the Claims of Ishmael as Viewed by Muhammadans", the first chapter of the first section was published, John Drew Bate had envisaged and drafted a much larger work. The two handwritten drafts of John Drew Bate's work on Islamic Studies show the extent of his work.
