These letters range from a criticism of Manning';s mathematical work to a family friend writing to William Manning regarding his concern of Thomas Manning's plan to visit China. Of particular note is a draft letter from Manning to Joseph Banks outlining the route of his Chinese studies and plans to travel to China.

"Original paper in the handwriting of Nana Furnevees (Fadnavis) and Rughoba Dada (Raghunath Rao)" In the label created by Simon Digby he suggests this may be either the instrument of treaty between the two parties dated 25 September 1767, or that of 6 August 1768. Paper in Marathi with title in English in a different hand.

A small field notebook containing Edward William West's original copes of inscriptions from the Kanheri Caves, as well as two inscriptions from caves at Kenesy dated October 27th 1848 and an inscription from an enclosure wall 'at Mahakal' (most likely the Mahakali or Kondivite Caves) dated October 28th 1848.

Pasted on the back cover is small scrap piece of paper with an inscription copied by Henry West.

Two manuscript pages from the puya Takhel Ngamba (Conqueror of Trippera) about the early 18th century King, Garib Niwaz. The pages can probably also be dated to the 18th century.

With these page are a photocopy of a letter in Manipuri script sent by Maharaj Chandrakirti Singh to the Viceroy of India in May 1868.

There is also a copy of an email from John Parratt explaining these documents, dated 27 June 2022.
