Postcard from Gillian Webster to Royal Asiatic Society to suggest the name of Beatrice de Cardi as a potential recipient of the Burton Memorial Medal.

Postcard from F.F. Arbuthnot to T.W. Rhys Davids, sent from Marseille, to give his address for Rhys Davids to send information about a Persian text and Chinese translation.

Postcard from Dr Reser, Ankara, Turkey, to C.A. Storey on which he writes of the delay in receiving Storey's card and that he is unable to supply the book that Storey requests. He hopes to send his new translation soon, and asks for two Gibb Memorial Volumes at a reduced price.

Postcard from Cecil John Edmonds to Mrs Davis, Secretary of Royal Asiatic Society, to write that he had decided to use slides. He thanks for her reply regarding admission cards and that he will try to put together some biographical details.

It appears that in 1939 the Royal Asiatic Society were looking at different options for their premises. There are two items of correspondence:

• Letter from Col. D.M.F. Hoysted, RAS Secretary, to Sir Edward Maclagan to inform that the freeholder's Solicitors have approved of the Society leasing Farm House. He encloses a financial statement and will seek Mr Perowne's advice (RAS Treasurer). Dated 14 July 1939.
• Letter from Edward Maclagan to Col. Hoysted to discuss the figures and to suggest that it doesn't go before the Committee before he has heard from Mr Perowne. Dated 15 July 1939.

Portsmouth Telegraph or Motley's Naval and Military Journal. This is a Centenary copy dated 14 October 1899 for the issue for Monday 14 October, 1799. Significance in archive is not known.

There is also a comparative list of the West's account and that of French Indologist A. H. Anequetil Du Perron, as well as four pieces of scrap paper of calculations and shorthand lists.

A leather bound portfolio containing two folders titled 'Kanheri Caves in Salsette: Descriptions and Notes' and 'Kanheri Caves in Salsette: Sundires'.

The portfolio contains three folders. These are titled: 'Ajanta Caves 1', 'Ajanta Caves 2', and 'Ellora Caves and Aurangabad Caves'.
