"Asiatic Journal for March 1820 in which there is an article, "College of Fort William, Public Disputation", which reports on the disputations in Oriental languages by members of the College. Hodgson took part as the 1st Opponent in Persian and in Bengalee. The disputation was then followed by giving of prizes and certificates for the qualifications awarded by the College. Printed journal, with some annotations, 1 item, dated March 1820.

"Autograph Book belonging to Susan Hodgson, Alderley Grange, Wotton under Edge" A leather bound autograph book belonging to Hodgson's wife, Susan, in which are placed certificates, diplomas, academic and personal correspondence, newspaper cuttings and extracts related to Brian Houghton Hodgson's life. Leather binding with metal clasp. The book's binding is broken and some pages are loose. Care must be taken when using this item.

Copy of an extract from the proceedings of the Asiatic Society of Bengal for 1 May 1839 in which it was reported that Mr Prinsep was the official channel for the transmitting to Mr Hodgson of Nepal, the diploma and letter of appointment as Chevalier of the Legion of Honor of France. This honour was conferred in light of Mr Hodgson's study of the Buddhistical faith and for his procurement of Buddhist literature, and in making known a great variety of new objects in natural history and science. Handwritten copy, 2 sides, dated 1 May 1839.

The monthly meeting on the 6 February had been an occasion on which Members were afforded an opportunity to express their sentiments on the departure of Hodgson. Journal of the Asiatic Society of Bengal No. CXLVI 1844, in which in the report for the Proceedings of the Asiatic Society for February 1844, in which it is noted that at the Monthly Meeting on 6th February 1844, the departure of Hodgson was noted and his life and generous donations celebrated and listed. Printed pamphlet with annotated cover, 1 item, dated 1844.

Letter from Dr Chandan Roy Chaudhuri, General Secretary of Asiatic Society, to Mr D.J. Duncanson, President of Royal Asiatic Society, to thank him for his letter and convey his appreciation of awarding Professor Sen in this way. He suggests that Mr Duncanson perhaps should be present at the Presentation and take the opportunity to also lecture at The Asiatic Society. Typed with printed letterhead, dated 25 July 1984.
