There is a small amount of printed material relating to Pankhurst's interest in Ethiopia. These are:

• 'A Catalogue of Secondhand Books Old and Modern offered for sale by Holleyman & Treacher', Brighton, Sussex. Printed pamphlet for June 1953.
• Journal of Africa Studies Volume 6, Number 1, Spring 1979, in which is the article Mahbuba, the "Beloved": The Life and Romance of an Ethiopian Slave-Girl in Early Nineteenth-Century Europe by Richard Pankhurst.
• 'Central Asian Studies, Autumn 1983', book catalogue by Aris & Phillips Ltd., printed leaflet.
• 'Egypt and the neighbouring Countries, B.C. 1000 by Samuel Sharpe' printed plate of the map, published by E. Mason & Co., 1859.
• Photocopy of [Amharic] inscription.

The papers consist of correspondence mainly concerned with Pankhurst's interest and research into Ethiopia, a small amount of printed material, photographs, and Abstracts and Papers from the First International Conference on the History of Ethiopian Art which was convened by Pankhurst in 1986.

Letter from E. Vallis, Library Assistant, Nuffield College Library, to Richard Pankhurst to send him the list of the Papers of Lord Rennell of Rodd within the Library's Collections. The list is with the letter.

Letter from the Ven. R.A. Lindley, General Secretary, the Jerusalem and the Middle East Church Association, to Richard Pankhurst to reply to his enquiry regarding documents. The Association does not hold the documents and Lindley suggests other archives that may be able to help.

Letter from J-C Garreta, Bibliothèque Nationale, Paris, to Richard Pankhurst to inform that they only have a single signature of P. Wolff on a letter to Père Enfantin and no papers concerning J. Wolff.

Letter from Dr Simon D. Messing to Richard Pankhurst to inform that he had mailed a copy of his book on the Falashas for review and to thank him for reminding Messing of the November conference of Ethiopian Studies in Addis Ababa.

Letter from Richard J. Haas, International Law Consultant, to Trevor Aldridge, Bower, Cotton and Bower Solicitors, regarding the death of Alexander Eldon. Haas reports that he had a long talk with Rita Pankhurst (née Eldon) who was in agreement with him. On the reverse of this letter are handwritten lists of novels, including authors, title and date published. Authors include Denys Jones, Victor Canning and James A. Brown.
