Signed minutes of the Finance Committee, 1965-1977, 1979-1980. The typed minutes are pasted into a hardcover ruled notebook with black cover and red binding. This is labelled as "Finance Committee (incorporating Investment, Possessions and Development Committees)". With this minute book is some correspondence:

• Correspondence concerning Membership and subscriptions, 15 items, dated 21 May 1965-23 September 1965.
• Correspondence concerning investment as a charity, 3 items, dated 6 March 1967-10 March 1967.

Signed Minutes of the Finance Committee from 18 April 1985-11 May 1988, and from 19 March 1992-27 May 2004. These are contained with a black hardcover notebook with label "Finance Committee". Also a small amount of correspondence pertinent to the Committee. These are:

• Letter from James [Selwyn] to Denis Duncanson to send his calculations concerning the cost of a possible move to Queen's Gardens, dated 31 March 1997.
• Letter from J.A. Payne to Dr MacDowell to inform him that at the recent Council Meeting it was suggested that a Finance Committee be formed and that he had taken the liberty of suggesting MacDowell, dated 2 March 1992.

Minutes, notes and correspondence concerned with the Investment Committee that was set up by the Council in September 1981. These are:

• Notes on a conversation with Dr Ware regarding power of the Council to invest the Society's money. Signed by G.A. Calver, dated 24 September 1980.
• Royal Asiatic Society: Investment Policy, dated 12 March 1981.
• Letter from G.A. Calver to Eric Southall to state that at the last Council Meeting it was agreed to set up an Investment Committee of these two plus Simon Digby, dated 8 September 1981.
• Letter from Eric Southall to G.A. Calver to state that he would be willing to serve on an Investment Committee, dated 12 September 1981.
• Letter from Eric Southall to G.A. Calver to send a draft memorandum concerning the Society's investments, dated 11 February 1982.
• Letter from Eric Southall to Secretary, Royal Asiatic Society, to enclose a memorandum on the Investment Policy, dated 11 March 1982.
• Minutes of Investment Sub-Committee Meeting of 22 March 1982.
• Minutes of Investment Committee Meeting held at 56 Queen Anne St London on Thursday 14th October '82 at 6pm.
• Minutes of an Investment Committee meeting on 21st October 1982 at 56 Queen Anne St at 2pm.
• Minutes of the Investment Sub-Committee held on 10th January 1983 at 4.30pm.

The signed minutes for the Investment Sub-Committee from 28 September 2000, when it was inaugurated for regularly reviewing the Society's investments with the Society's Stockbroker, to 13 March 2003. These are pasted into a maroon hardcover notebook with label "Investment Sub-Committee 2000 -".
