These Papers consists of letters sent by orientalists and literary figures to Bernard Quaritch, mainly concerning the obtaining or selling of oriental literature.
Sem títuloLetter from Sir Monier Monier-Williams to Bernard Quaritch to inform him that the trade price for Indian Wisdom is actually 15 shillings and therefore he should have to charge that price. However he wants to keep his word to Quaritch and therefore encloses a cheque for £1 to cover the extra cost that the publisher will charge. Handwritten, 2 sides, dated 16 July 1875. Quaritch has added a note at the top of the letter: "Send cheque £6 to W.H. Allen".

Many copies have been subscribed for by the Indian Government but he can offer Quaritch 8 copies at 12/6 each, the same price as offered to the India Office. In a postscript he informs of recently published reviews of his book. Handwritten, 3 sides, dated 6 July 1875. The letter has been glued on to cardboard which is in poor condition.
