This fascicle was issued by American missionary and philologist Rev. Nathan Brown (1807-1886) and sent to every scholar willing to answer his call for contributions (« Proposal for Forming a Comparative Vocabulary of all the Indo-Chinese Languages », in Calcutta Christian Observer, Vol. 4, 1835, pp. 572-579).
