There are six letters, written to and by the Reverend Arthur Stanley Bishop between 1907 and 1908. Bishop was the superintendent of the Wesleyan Methodist Book Room at the Wesleyan Methodist Missionary Society, Colombo.

The series contains various letters mainly relating to Gogerly's research on Theravāda Buddhist texts and publication of his translations.

A letter of correspondence from Edmund Rowland Jayathilake Gooneratne to the Reverend Arthur Stanley Bishop in which he writes that he will be glad to look over Gogerl'y papers that Bishop is preparing to publish. A letter of correspondence from Charlotte Hughes, RAS Secretary, to the Reverend Arthur Stanley Bishop in which she writes that she cannot answer Stanley Bishop's questions as they do not have the Gogerly works in question.
