              Letter from W.L. Raynes, Clerk to the Trust, to C.A. Storey to send a cheque for Heffer for Storey to sign and the account which he asks Storey to return. He thanks Storey for his letter of 6 April which he hopes to address in the next few days. With the letter is a copy of the account in Storey's hand.

              Letter from W.L. Raynes, Clerk to the Trust, to C.A. Storey to enclose a copy of a letter from Professor Nicholson, written with difficulty due to poor eyesight, in which he resigns from the Chairmanship of the Trust. He proposes that Storey be Acting Chairman until a Meeting can be arranged. The copy of the letter from Nicholson is also present in which he explains his health issues regarding his eyesight and attack of pneumonia. He lacks physical strength and needs to live in Nursing or Convalescent Homes. He thanks Raynes for all he has done.

              Letter from W.L. Raynes, Clerk to the Trust, to C.A. Storey to inform him that a large amount of cash is in the Bank account and that he had suggested to Nicholson that £500 of this should be placed in the Trustees Savings Bank or used to purchase 3% Redemption Stock. With Levy in Turkey, Raynes suggest that the stock be put in Nicholson's and Storey's names. He also mentions the sorting of publication stock.

              Letter from W.L. Raynes, Clerk to the Trust, to C.A. Storey to inform Storey that he has retrieved the copy Minute Book from the Administrator of Ellis' estate (see GMT/2/2/22). He also informs Storey that Ellis' library has not gone to the States. Ellis' nephew is asking for help in the valuation and the separation of manuscripts from books.

              Letter from W.L. Raynes, Clerk to the Trust, to C.A. Storey to send copies of letters from Princetown University Press and W. Ivanow of Bombay, dated 1 October 1943.. These copies are with the letter. The letter from W. Ivanow thanks for vol. XVI of the New Series but he has not received vols. VII and VII of the Mathnawi of Jalalu'd-din Rumi which he asks to be sent, dated 14, July 1943. The letter from Princetown University Press asks to include two poems for which the Trust holds the copyright in the publication from the symposium entitled The Arab Heritage, dated 14 September 1943.
