West Edward William 1824-1905Between 1995 and 2003 Terence Phelps corresponded with Michael Willis, British Museum, concerning his research. This series contains letters predominantly sent by Phelps to Willis. With many of the letters are enclosures of articles or extracts which accompanied Phelps' correspondence.

- Letter, dated 26 February 1906, in which West writes both of his brother, Edward's death in 1905, and that he has all the 'Indian Cave papers' which he is sending to Burgess to use as he needs.

- Letter, dated 14 March 19906, to enclose 'a memo of our Cave experiences in India'.
