              Letter from Prof. Dr. Frederik David Kan Bosch to Quaritch Wales concerning the translation of the inscriptions found on the discs from Kedah in old-Javanese alphabet dated to the latter half of the 9th century.               Letter from Niranjan Prasad Chakravarti, Government Epigraphist for India, to Quaritch Wales concerning the translation of the inscription discs found in Kedah which mention the name of Boddhisattava Samantabhadra. He refers to the reading made by John Allan in the letter on 17/03/1939. If it is right, the inscription on the silver bowl could be Kasyapa (in Prakit termination).
