Related units of description
The Council Minutes for 13 February 1964 report that the examiners for the essay prize were selected and that the subjects would be the same as the previous year. The Minutes for 8 October 1964 record that 2 essays had been received and those of 10 December 1964 that the award should go to Mr. M. Salt. In the report of the Anniversary Meeting in the Journal of the Royal Asiatic Society, 1965, p.153, it was reported that the Essay Prize had been awarded to Mr M. Salt, King's College, Cambridge for his essay on the Chinese Revolution.
