The Minutes for 11 December 1941 record that the Prize was awarded to Carlo. F. Brunner.
In the report of the Council for 1941-2: Anniversary General Meeting (Journal of Royal Asiatic Society 1942, p. 269) it was reported that the Universities Essay prize had been won by Mr. C.F. Brunner.
