Letter from James Kraft, Witter Bynner Foundation, to Angus Graham to explain that after much deliberation it has been decided not to use Graham's essay as an introduction to Bynner's Laotzu as they felt Graham's essay was not in sympathy with the translation. They however send recompense for his work and travels.

Letter from John Cayley, Wellsweep Press, to Angus Graham to state that the book is well-advanced. He encloses two signed copies of the contract which if Graham is satisfied with, then he should sign one and return it. One signed and witnessed copy of the Memorandum of Agreement is with the letter for 12 April 1990.

Letter from John Minford, Research Centre for Translation, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, to Angus Graham to ask permission for Graham's West Lake poems to be published in Renditions. He also asks whether Graham would expand them to produce a paperback. Under this letter is a note from [Debra] to say that this will be a beautiful book and that she will ask Dawn to call on John Minford in Hong Kong.

The minute book for the contains committee meetings of the Oriental Translation Committee from April 1846 to February 1865. These include the members present, balance of the fund, payments made, books under consideration, and any other business. Also included are member lists.
