In 2003 the Royal Asiatic Society undertook to rent rooms to the Society for South Asian Studies. This material includes correspondence between the two Societies, and with the acting Solicitors, Gregory Rowcliffe Milners; draft agreements and an inventory of the contents of the rooms to be rented.

In December 2003, the Council decided to consider moving properties. A Property Steering Group was set up to pursue the recommendation for finding new premises. The material in this series consists of a letter sent by Francis Robinson to members of the group in advance of the meeting of the group on 11 January 2005, and the Minutes for the Group's meeting on 10 February 2005.

The material also contains correspondence between the Society and Manches LLP who sold the property to The Jordanian Book Centre, dated 11 March 2005-26 August 2005, when both sale of the Queen's Garden property and purchase of 14 Stephenson Way were complete.

The Sesquicentenary Committee was established to oversee the organisation of the celebrations. The first meeting was held on 27 November 1968. They continued to meet even after the Sesquicentenary to administer the funds and give a progress report. In the Minutes for 9 January 1975, it was noted that arrangements were approved for the dissolution of the Committee on 19 February 1975.
