Draft Licence relating to the premises known as Number 56 Queen Anne Street between Howard de Walden Estates Limited and the Royal Asiatic Society concerning the consent for the Royal Asiatic Society to sublet two rooms on the ground floor to Mr J. Harris.

Letter from W.L. Raynes, Clerk to the Trust, to C.A. Storey to enclose a letter from Luzac and to enquire whether he should ask Luzac to approach the Ministry of Supply. With this letter is a copy of the letter from Luzac to W.L. and E.G. Raynes regarding the binding of the books and that a concession might be made as the books are required for export which would be a means of obtaining foreign currency.

Letter from Sir Charles Lyall to Secretary of Royal Asiatic Society to request that a representative of the Royal Asiatic Society attend the India Office to discuss the question of accommodation.

Letter from Royal Asiatic Society to Lord Reay to enclose a draft letter to the Secretary of State drawn up by Sir Raymond West in consultation with the Honorary Officers of the Society. This letter is a more accurate reflection of the Council's decision than that of Charles Lyall. With this letter is one addressed to the Under Secretary of State for India to invite the attention of the Secretary of State to the needs of the Society for better accommodation. This is signed by Lord Reay.

Letter from Luzac & Co. to [C.A. Storey] to inform him of the position regarding the volumes of Ottoman Poetry which they have received and those shown as 'in stock'.

Letter from Luzac & Co. to C.A. Storey to thank Storey for the presentation list. The volumes will be despatched to those on the list the following week. The list will be returned to Storey as soon as possible. They have ordered, from Tehran, the Diwan i-Bābā.

Letter from Lord Reay to Sir Charles Lyall to say that Lyall's letter had reached him too late to submit to the Royal Asiatic Society Council that day but he is willing to sign and send on to Lord Morley. The objections against a previous proposal concerned amalgamation with the Northbrook Club but if separate habitation for the Society could be provided, that might be of benefit to the Society.
