              Correspondence regarding the renewal of Prince Charles' Patronage of the Society. These are:

              • Letter from David Hutson, Clarence House, to Professor Francis Robinson, Royal Asiatic Society, to ask the Society to send an invitation to the Prince to extend his Patronage. Typed with printed letterhead, dated 8 November 2005.
              • Letter from Francis Robinson, President, Royal Asiatic Society to David Hutson, Clarence House, to invite the Prince of Wales to continue his Patronage, to inform of the Society's imminent move to Stephenson Way and to invite the Prince to open these new premises. Typed with printed letterhead, 2 pieces, dated 28 November 2005.
              • Letter from David Hutson, Clarence House, to Professor Francis Robinson, Royal Asiatic Society, to state that the Prince of Wales will extend his Patronage and to ask to see a draft of any press announcement concerning this. With this letter is a "Notice to organisations enjoying the Patronage of the Prince of Wales" setting out guidelines for the Patronage. Typed with printed letterhead, two pieces, dated 27 February 2006.
              • Letter from Professor Anthony Stockwell, President, Royal Asiatic Society, to James Kidner, Clarence House, to thank for the annual review of the Prince's activities and to inform of the change of address for the Society. Typed, dated 12 August 2006.

              A bound volume containing copies of letters sent in the administration of the Society between the years 1823-1835 and 1846-1861. The earlier ones, covering 1823-1835, are all concerned with the finances of the Society. There is then a break in the letters until 1846, after which the correspondence covers a broader spectrum of activities.

              Black and White photographs of 14 Grafton Street. These are

              • Two identical photographs of the exterior, one mounted on board. The ground floor window bears the name, J. Havilland and the first floor, Guerlain. It is unknown when these photographs were taken or their source.
              • Five interior photographs showing hall and stairways. These show both Havilland and Catchpole & Williams signs. The photographs are copies from the London Metropolitan Archive numbers 64/4117 - 64/4120 and 70/2063.

              Connected to these photographs are two items of correspondence:

              • Letter from Michael Pollock, Royal Asiatic Society Librarian, to Mr M. Scott, Senior Librarian, London Metropolitan Archives, to state that he had recently purchase 5 photographs of 14 Grafton Street from London Metropolitan Archives and seeking permission to use them, with attribution, in displays. Typed, dated 6 April 1998.
              • Letter from Mick Scott, Senior Librarian, London Metropolitan Archives, to Michael Pollock, Royal Asiatic Society Librarian, to state he is happy for the photographs to be added to the Society's archive and to remind that a reproduction fee would be payable if there were used in any publication. Typed with printed letterhead, dated 28 April 1998.
