Letter from Hugh Richardson to Fleming Mackenzie from Lhasa, 19 June 1950. He writes that Lhasa is in a continuous state of anxiety though the communists are staging a peace offensive. He is hoping to leave in September but is unsure who his successor will be. He writes of heavy rain and snow up to Phan. He sends a few stamps.
