A manuscript of an 'Abstract Translation of an Inscription on Copper Plates found in the Fort of Miruj. Dated saka 946, or A.D. 1025' by Mr Wathen. This is annotated by H.H. Wilson. A copy of the inscription is also with the translation. This particular translation was published in the Journal of the Royal Asiatic Society, 1836 (2), pp.258-271. An explanatory article of William Henry Wathen's work on inscriptions in India was published in JRAS 1835, pp.378-399 and includes remarks by Horace Hayman Wilson.

A partial manuscript of 'A sketch of the constitution of the Kandyan kingdom' by John D'Oyly, published in the Transactions of the Royal Asiatic Society of Great Britain and Ireland, 1833, Vol. 3, No. 2 (1833), pp. 191-252. The manuscript was submitted by Sir Alexander Johnston as the most accurate account that had been given to him and therefore worthy of publication in the Journal.

Letter from Ramakanta Chakrabarty, General Secretary, Asiatic Society, to The President, Royal Asiatic Society, to inform of the forthcoming anniversary celebrations and to request the President's presence at the Inaugural Ceremony. Dated 14 August 2007.

Letter from Professor Anthony Stockwell, President, Royal Asiatic Society, to Professor Ramakanta Chakrabarty, General Secretary, Asiatic Society, to write on behalf of the Council of the Royal Asiatic Society to send congratulations upon the anniversary but to send regrets that he will be unable to attend. Dated 19 November 2007.
