              • Letter from James [Selwyn] to Denis Duncanson to send his calculations concerning the cost of a possible move to Queen's Gardens, dated 31 March 1997.
              • Letter from J.A. Payne to Dr MacDowell to inform him that at the recent Council Meeting it was suggested that a Finance Committee be formed and that he had taken the liberty of suggesting MacDowell, dated 2 March 1992.

              News cutting of "Extract from Evening Transcript, Boston Mass., U.S.A." to report that at the recent anniversary meeting of the Royal Asiatic Society it was announced that a grant from the James Forlong Fund will be made for the publication of "Primitive Cultures of India" by Colonel Hodson. It also lists the works published by the Oriental Translation Fund. It reports that Lord Chalmers' speech had been positive about the future of the Royal Asiatic Society's life and work.
