              Correspondence concerning an exhibition to be held at the University of Durham to mark the Royal Asiatic Society's sesquicentenary. These are:

              • Letter from Philip Rawson, Curator, Gulbenkian Museum of Oriental Art, to B.W. Robinson, President, Royal Asiatic Society, to inform that he would be happy to mount an Exhibition to commemorate the Society's Sesquicentenary, dated 2 October 1970.
              • Letter from B.W. Robinson, President, Royal Asiatic Society, to Philip Rawson, Curator, Gulbenkian Museum of Oriental Art, to ask if he could give a tentative date for the exhibition and more details about it, dated 25 November 1971.
              • Letter from Philip Rawson, Curator, Gulbenkian Museum of Oriental Art, to B.W. Robinson, President, Royal Asiatic Society, to inform him that there seems to be no suitable material and that there is a lack of space. However the School of Oriental Studies Library will mount a display, dated 9 December 1971.
              • Letter from B.W. Robinson, President, Royal Asiatic Society, to Philip Rawson, Curator, Gulbenkian Museum of Oriental Art, to suggest that he puts on on exhibition, not directly relating to the Society, but in conjunction with its celebrations, dated 15 December 1971.
