Biographical history
Jean Boisselier was a specialist of Khmer art and member of École française d'Extrême-Orient (EFEO). He was responsible for the restoration of Angkor. He followed the study of Philippe Sterne and established the theory about the development of Khmer statues. His prominent publications are La statuaire khmère et son evolution , La sculpture en Thaïlande , Asie du Sud-Est : I and La statuaire du Champa .
