In 1889 a Memorandum of Agreement was signed between the Royal Asiatic Society and W.H. Allen and Company concerning the publishing of the Journal. This series contains that Memorandum and associated correspondence.

Cambridge University Press began publishing the Society's Journal in 1991. This is still ongoing. The material in this series includes memoranda of agreement, a publication license agreement, meeting minutes, final accounts, correspondence and administrative documents, and advertising leaflets.

These reports are produced by Cambridge University Press to give details of the Journal's performance. There is a Publicity Report for September 1991 and Publishing Reports for the Journal of the Royal Asiatic Society for April 2007, May 2008, 2010-2011, 18 June 2012, 16 April 2013, 17 March 2014 (electronic), 6 May 2015 (electronic), 27 April 2016 (electronic), April 2019 (electronic) 2017-2019 (electronic). Advertising leaflets for subscription to the Journal produced by Cambridge University Press for the years 1991 (2 copies), 1996 and 1999 (2 copies).

Agreement made by the Royal Asiatic Society with Micro Methods Limited for the Micro Reproduction of Journals and publications issued before the date of the agreement. It is dated 6 January 1959 and signed by M.A. Brampton for Micro Methods and Richard Winstedt, Director, and M. Davis, Secretary, for the Royal Asiatic Society. With the agreement is a document entitled 'Heads of Assessment suggested for the Royal Asiatic Society' which is dated 9 September 1965.

A letter from The EP Group of Companies to confirm the granting of a non-exclusive franchise by the Royal Asiatic Society to EP Microfilm Ltd. to produce a microfiche edition of the Society's Journal.
