Peter Williams-Hunt took aerial photographs in reconnaissance missions for the Royal Air Force during and after the World War II. Later, he was interested in the application of utilizing aerial photographs for archaeology studies. He wrote an article on the discovery of Roman site from aerial survey in 1946 (Williams-Hunt & Bradford, 1946). He made the collection of these aerial photographs of Southeast Asia whilst working as an aerial photograph interpreter for the Royal Air Force during and after the World War II.

A small pamphlet containing the article, "Irregular Earthworks in Eastern Siam: an air survey", published in 'Antiquity', Vol.24,Issue 93, March 1950, with a map of Eastern Siam and aerial photographs taken by the Royal Air Force and United Armies Air Force. The survey was carried out immediately after the World War II. The pamphlet is in poor condition.
