• Letter from J. Butt, Royal Central Asian Society, to Richard Winstedt, Royal Asiatic Society, writing about the letter from Monteath and sending a copy of the views from the Royal Central Asian Society. Typed, dated 6 February 1948. The report is with the letter.
• Letter from David Monteath, Commonwealth Relations Office, to R.E. Enthoven to thank for his letter concerning the future of the contents of the India Office. He assures that it is his intention to consult with the Royal Asiatic Society. He also seeks to answer Enthoven's specific question about the Records and Library.
