Letter from W.E.D. Allen to H. Higgens in which he thanks Higgens for the gift of the Roget Thesaurus. Allen has shown Higgens' letter to Sir Hugh Boustead who will contact Higgens when he is back in London. Allen will be busy in October but still thinks it would be good if Higgens visited in mid-October. Allen hopes that Higgens may be able to coach his grandson Bill, who will staying with them during the winter. Dated: 20 July 1968.

Letter from W.E.D. Allen to H. Higgens with which Allen returns two books lent by Higgens and sends a carbon copy of a bibliography. He says he has finished his book on Russian Embassies and hopes to have it ready to print before he leaves for Russia in mid-July. He proposes that they meet in late autumn to discuss collaborating on the book on Anglo-Russian relations. Dated: 26 June 1967.
