Allen in which Minorsky writes that it was a great pleasure to see Allen in Cambridge and informs Allen that he does not have the books on Caucasia that Allen had requested. He is overwhelmed by the number of periodicals that he owns but hopes that now his books are published he may have time to work through them. Dated: 12 November 1959.

He asks how the Hakluyt book is progressing and whether he has seen Artamona's book. There is a good translation of the History of Abul-Fazl Baqhaqi produced in Tashkent by A.K. Avenos. Dated: 14 December 1962.

Some of Allen's choices had already been intercepted but Minorsky will check his shelves again. He will, when free, look at his Afanasii Nikitin again. Dated: 14 January 1965.

Minorsky also mentions his visit with Sir H. Gibbs who needs help with his work on Ibn Battuta Vol III. Minorsky finally mentions his upcoming honorary degree award from Cambridge. Nikitine and writes that there is hardly anyone left of his generation or the following one. He has been invited to the Oriental Congress in Moscow and would like to see his fatherland but financial considerations preclude this. He writes of interesting books that have been published for the Congress. Dated: 16 June 1960.

He has the fortune of the Cambridge librarian sending to him any volume he may require. His conjunctivitis affects his ability to work but his addenda for Hudad al-Alam are mainly finished.
