Letter from Edwin Arnold to Bernard Quaritch in which he introduces to Quaritch a Japanese professor travelling to study commercial chemistry at the University of Tokyo. He has with him a remarkable book – a complete Flora Japonica – which he wishes to sell. He asks Quaritch to advise the professor where he may find the most appreciative purchaser.
